PRS-PLUS Program-Focused Model

PRS-PLUS will provide PIT behavior specialists that will serve selected child PRS-PLUS provides specialists that work on-site at selected child care centers, centers operating under a letter of compliance, family child care homes, Head Start/Early Head Start programs, Nursery School programs and public PreK/Kindergarten settings that have identified issues related to children’s problematic behaviors. The intent of the program-focused consultation is to improve the overall quality of the classroom environment, as well as provide strategies to address system programs that may be affecting one or more of the children. Parenting workshops can also be provided for these sites. Child-focused services are provided for children needing more individualized attention. Children needing more intensive services will be referred to community-based services and supports.
